Umbilical Termination Head
Electro-Hydraulic UTH for Multi-Service Subsea Connection
Umbilical termination heads (UTH) make it possible to terminate umbilical lines and provide multiple connections for chemical, hydraulic, electrical and fibre optic services subsea. This design coils the electrical lines on the outside of the drum to allow a quick and simple release when subsea, helping prevent the hoses from becoming entangled during installation.

The Umbilical Termination Head terminates umbilical lines and brings multiple chemical, hydraulic, electrical and fibre optic services together at a single subsea interface. Carrying up to 26 couplings, it is rated to a design depth of 3000m and a maximum pressure of up to 15000psi, with a 30 year design life and qualification to ISO13628-6 / 7 / 8.
The design coils the electrical lines on the outside of the drum, allowing a quick and simple release subsea while helping to prevent the hoses from becoming entangled during installation. Multiple lifting points are designed and tested in accordance with DNV 2.7-3, and the assembly is configured for a 2m minimum installation height with anti-rotation, butt welded hose fittings.
Male and female stabplates are manufactured from UNS S31803 duplex stainless steel, with a HIDURON 130 lock-down drive screw and UNS S32760 / UNS S31803 receptacle components and 316L stainless steel ROV buckets. The female stabplate weighs 356kg over a 1.6m length, with a stabplate outside diameter of Ø300 / Ø350.
