High-Load UTH
High-Load Umbilical Termination Head
Umbilical termination head (UTH) assemblies make it possible to terminate umbilical lines and provide multiple connections for chemical, hydraulic, electrical and fibre optic services subsea. Its unique external load by-pass (ELB) retainer mechanism disconnects all external loads from the MQC locking mechanism and redirects them straight onto the host structure, allowing for far greater tie-in loads.

Connector Type
Umbilical termination head (UTH) assemblies terminate umbilical lines and provide multiple connections for chemical, hydraulic, electrical and fibre optic services subsea. The High-Load variant is built around a unique external load by-pass (ELB) retainer mechanism: all external loads are disconnected from the MQC locking mechanism and redirected straight onto the host structure, allowing far greater tie-in loads than a standard termination head can carry.
This design houses a vast array of functions, including 14 hydraulic lines and 6 bulkhead electrical connectors with 3 off 1in-2out FACTs. All 15m of service loop cabling — arranged as 3 off 5m service loops — is contained within the frame, giving greater protection through every phase of the life cycle.
Rated to a 3000m design depth with a 30-year design life to ISO 13628-6/7/8, the unit retains 2m minimum installation height and DNV 2.7-3 compliant multi lifting points, with an electrical protection cage and permanent buoyancy available as configurable options.
