Gas Lift Couplings

1½" Nominal Bore Subsea Gas Lift Couplings

MSCM gas lift couplings are 1½" nominal bore connectors incorporating an integral self-sealing check valve that eliminates the possibility of hydrate formation during deployment and intervention. Designed for multiple make and break under system working pressure across a 25-year design life.

This unique 1½” nominal bore coupling incorporates an integral self-sealing check valve which eliminates the possibility of hydrate formation during deployment and interventions. The fixed male half is mounted to the subsea structure, such as a xmas tree or manifold, and is connected to the distribution system via an API flange or similar. The free female half carries a PEEK-energised primary seal with a resilient seal redundant backup, and is designed for multiple make and break under system working pressures across a 25-year design life.

ROV deployment and intervention is free flying using a work class ROV in accordance with API 17D / ISO 13628-8 Class 4 receptacle. The free half has a flexible thermoplastic jumper attached via a grayloc hub assembly. Parking receptacles, pressure-retaining caps and test couplings are available to support handling and verification.

While engineered for gas lift service, the coupling may also be used with all commonly used service media, including methanol injection and water and oil based control fluids. The typical gas composition handled is predominantly Methane (81.57%) with Propane (4.31%), n-Butane (2.3%) and trace components.
